Taxidaban Gr
Type Locality and Naming
SE Tarim Basin. The Taxidaban Gr was named by Li Ximing et al. in 1958 and pub-lished by Gao Zhisheng et al. in 1961. The type locality is around Taxidaban in Altun Mts. at the juncture between Qinghai Province. and Xinjiang Weiwuerzhu Zizhiqu (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region). The major reference section is in Kumutashilik, east of Qiemo on the north slope of Altun Mountain, Xinjiang.

Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
The base is an unconformable contact onto the underlying the Beiketan Fm of the Baxkorgan Gr.
Upper contact
The top is unconformably overlain by the Surkuli Gr
Regional extent
SE Tarim Basin. The Taxidaban Gr is distributed mainly at Annanba, south slope of Taxidaban and Ruoqiang County in Altun Mountain at the juncture of Qinghai Province and Xinjiang
